Family Camp Registration Details

Family Camp Activities Our Family Camp weekend is modeled after the Family Camp program from the Antiochian Village. We will have daily services, Christian Education for children, a Keynote Speaker for the parents, sports and games for the whole family to participate. Some activities will be weather permitting. Camp Facility The St. Methodios Faith & Heritage Center is owned and operated by the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston, and is the home to the Metropolis of Boston Summer Camp. More information about the camp facility can be found online at https://www.saintmethodios.org/

Registration Families should complete the registration form on the following page, and return it to the address listed with a $100 non-refundable deposit for each family. Checks should be made payable to “Diocese Missions Council”. Registration forms must be sent in by September 20, 2021. Balance of payment is also due by September 20. The registration fee for each family is $450 (includes 2 parents, and any children 12 and under). If any children are 13 or older, please add $64 for meals to this fee. Registration fee includes all expenses for the weekend including all activities, 2 nights lodging in the Retreat House, 3 meals on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. Larger families can request a second room for an additional fee. Any children 12 or older can register separately for the SOYO Fall Camp which is held in conjunction with the Family Camp. SOYO Fall Camp participants will stay in the cabins with other teens and the camp counselors.

Cancellation We appreciate prompt notification if your family must cancel. Cancellations prior to September 20 will receive a refund less the deposit. After September 20, refunds of registration fee may be requested in writing and will only be granted if a replacement family for the open spot is found.

Scholarships If a family is unable to attend due to financial hardships, please contact your parish priest to see if help is available from the parish.

Lodging Each room in the Retreat House has 2 double beds, private bath, and linens are provided. Each family will have their own room in the Retreat House. Families are welcome to bring sleeping bags for kids to sleep on the floor.

Camp Staff The Diocese Family Camp is sponsored by the Diocese Missions Council with the blessing of His Grace Bishop JOHN. Our Diocese Family Camp is coordinated by Khalil Samara, and Antiochian Village Staff Alumni will be with us as our Volunteer Staff for the weekend.

COVID Guidelines Our Family Camp program follows the guidelines of the Antiochian Archdiocese Department of Camping Ministry which receives guidance from the CDC, American Camp Association, and local and state guidelines. All individuals (both vaccinated and not vaccinated) over the age of 3 will be required to wear face masks while indoors at Family Camp with the exception of while in their lodging rooms. Masks are to be worn in the Dining Hall except when sitting at your family’s table. Masks will not be required for outdoor activities, and as many activities as possible will be held outside. These guidelines are subject to change.
